His parents were John and Mary Muscat Camilleri who preceded him in death. He attended school in San Francisco and graduated from Balboa High School in 1941. He worked a short time at Bethlehem Steel in the Hunters Point area prior to joining the U.S. Navy. After his discharge he pursued his machinist trade and relocated to the Sacramento area where he worked and retired from McClellan Air Force Base in 1980. Charlie and the former Wilma Piersall Vogel were married in 1959, built their homeand raised their family in the Citrus Heights area. He is survived by wife Wilma; and his children and their spouses, Charles Jr. of Redwood City, Kathy Alexander of Camas, WA, Daniel of Woodenville, WA and Ronald of Citrus Heights. He is also survived by his siblings and their spouses of which he was the eldest, Joe of San Francisco, Mary Jane Bragagnolo of San Francisco and John of Sonoma. Charlie enjoyed his retirement years traveling with his wife in their RV, nearly always to a new fishing hole or wild game hunt. His work shop at home was full of mounted big game trophies and birds where he taught himself the art of taxidermy.

Joseph "Joe" to his family and friends passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, after a brief illness on March 20. Joe was a devoted husband to Irene (Clot) Camilleri, a loving father to his children Larry (Jennifer) and Donald Camilleri. Adored grandfather of Madeline, Matthew, Kelly, and Ryan and great-grandfather to Jarret and Evelyn. Joe is survived by his sister, Mary Jane Bragagnolo and brother, John Camilleri (Brenda). He was preceded in death by brother Charles Camilleri. Joe is survived also by sisters-in-law Wilma (Camilleri) Cross and Shirley Clot, many cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends.

Joe graduated from Balboa High School and served in the United States Navy as a radioman/gunner in a PV-2 Ventura during the latter part of WWII. Upon discharge, Joe returned to his family home in the Portola District where he lived for the remainder of his 92 years. Joe met Irene, his wife of 56 years, at a USO dance. They were married in 1950 and remained married until Irene passed away in 2007. Joe owned the White Palace Liquor Store in the Portola District for many years. In 1967, he moved on to United Airlines where he was employed as a jet mechanic until his retirement.

Joe was an avid hunter and fisherman. Joe's fondest memories were those of hunting and fishing with his brothers and fishing with his long time friend, Pete. Joseph Charles Camilleri was also known as Joe Camilleri.4
