Joseph Spiteri passed peacefully Thurs, Sept 6, 2012 with his family by his side. Born in Malta in 1929 he immigrated to Canada in 1952 to begin his new life. He came to the US in 1965 and lived in MA then settled in CA in 1978. During his early years in Malta he played soccer in a men's club league and continued to be an avid soccer and hockey fan. Joe held Sr Management positions for several technology firms in Silicon Valley before retiring in 1989. He and his wife Joan enjoyed numerous cruises during his retirement. He was a devoted husband to his wife of 59 years, Joan Spiteri. He was the proud father of Richard Spiteri who passed in 1999. He is survived by his youngest son Robert and wife Caroline, two grandchildren Lauren and Bryan, sisters Mary Borg of San Jose, Vicky, Lily, Carrie, Polly, brothers George and Godfrey and many nieces and nephews. Joe lived a long and fulfilled life and will be terribly missed. A viewing will be held at Oak Hill on Tues, Sept 11 from 6-9PM. A mass will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Church at 5111 San Felipe Rd at 10AM on Wed, Sept 12th with burial to follow at Oak Hill. Anthony "Tony" Magri was the first child born to Virginia and Guy Magri in the Sunnyside area of San Francisco. He graduated from John O'Connell High School in 1967 and later enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1969 as an airframe mechanic. Stationed at the Mather Air Force base in Sacramento County, he became a civilian worker at both the Mather and McClellan Air Force Bases before retiring at the Army Depot in Susanville in 2003. He leaves behind him his beloved son Brandon and daughter-in-law Brittany, as well as his five siblings Dennis, John, Nancy (Evans), Joe and Robert Magri. He was a member of the Maltese American Social Club in 2017.

Bom In Malta, she survived the bombings of world war II and the loss of her mother and a sister. She came to America and became an American citizen. Everyone has a place and a purpose, she was a "conduit" to life for her chilftrn and grandchildren. We thank her or this. Let us remember her kindness, joy and compassion.
Virginia's house was always full of children whom she loved; her own and others. After her children left home she specially enjoyed her time working vlth her friends at Macy's Warehouse. She maintained close friendships with childhood friends from Malta, Virginia was also a member of St Finn Barrs Church for more than 30 years. A devoted wife and mother of six children, she was always "there" for her family and friends.
