     Sister M. Cabrini (Effie) Catania was born on 20 December 1925 in San Jose, CA, USA. She died on 27 August 2012 at Fremont, CA, USA, at age 86. She was buried at Holy Cross Cemetery, Colma, San Mateo Co., CA, USA.

Cabrini (Effie) Catania Resident of Mission San Jose Dec. 20, 1925-Aug. 27, 2012 Born and raised in San Jose, the youngest child of the late Joseph and Rose Catania. Sister of Josephine Catania, Mary Catania and Sam Catania; and the late Lena Stovall, Tony Jangrus, Joseph Catania, Rose Zito and Vincent Catania. A member of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Family for 65 years. Active and vibrant until the day before she died. She dedicated her life to child care, religious education, pastoral ministry and ministering to the elderly, the sick and the dying in San Francisco, San Jose, Oakland, Castro Valley, Mt. Shasta, Burlingame, San Diego, Modesto, Pleasanton, and Mission San Jose. Burial at 2 p.m. Friday, August 31 at Holy Cross Cemetery, Colma. He went to St. Gabriel Elementary School and St. Ignatius High School where he graduated with honors. He then went on to graduate from the University of San Francisco and earned his MBA from SF State. He went on to become a successful investment banker and partner at a New York investment firm. He loved New York City. A city he felt very at home in. He was a voracious reader, a lover of words and had a quick wit. He loved to travel, enjoyed good food, art collecting, the Southwest and astronomy. He was an avid fan of the SF Giants and the 49ers. Michael was preceded in death by his father William (Bill) Cilia and his two favorite labs, Tiffy and Winston. He is survived by his mother, his sister, his two children and three grandchildren. A special thanks to the friends who visited Michael at Silverado.
Michael will be greatly missed by family and friends.

      Obituary: : John Joseph Lagomarsino Entered into rest on December 20, 2015 at the age of 81 years. Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 51 years, Teresa Lagomarsino, and his son James. Loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle. John was born and raised in San Francisco to Joseph and Genevieve Lagomarsino. He attended St. Monica's Grammar School and Sacred Heart High School. He had a long career at Pacific Bell, later AT&T, where he made many friends. John was proud of his Italian heritage, and loved a good Italian meal. He was a devoted member of Holy Angels parish where he was very active in the Men's Club. He retired from AT&T in 1990 to enjoy his wife Teresa and his grandchildren. Nothing was more important to him than his family, especially his grandchildren. John and Teresa enjoyed dining out, visiting with their many friends and taking their annual trip up to the Russian River. They enjoyed life together until Teresa's untimely death in 2008. Sadly he lost his son Jim in 2009, yet he continued to remain strong. He is now at peace and reunited with his adored wife and son.
