Joe passed away on Thanksgiving Day and leaves a legacy of kindness, laughter and legendary storytelling. He was born in San Francisco to Joseph and Pauline Cauchi, who preceded him in death. He attended Sacred Heart High School and then spent 8 years in the Navy Reserves. He was a fireman for 19 years for the Los Altos Fire Department. At the same time, he was a part-time employee at Archbishop Mitty High School. He volunteered many hours in fundraising for the school and supporting the Athletic Department. In 2000, he was inducted into the AMHS Hall of Fame. He went onto Santa Clara University as the Equipment Room Manager for the Athletic Department and eventually moved to the Facilities Department where he retired. Joe had a laugh that would light up the room and made those around him feel especially important. He had a gift for helping people and loved spending time with family. Joe is survived by his wife, Marian, his sweetheart of 58 years; sister, Dolores Crane; sons, Steve Cauchi (Sheila), David Cauchi (Renee), Ken Cauchi (Susie) and Ron Cauchi (Elisa); and beloved Nannu to 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
